I was sitting in my room last night when I heard the news that Jerry was gone. My little brother came in and told me. I haven't been on MC in a while, but I had to come and go through this with you guys! I thought about a lot of things that night, and I have an idea.

The Muppeteers have said repeatedly that they don't want young people just copying what they do (I"m not being mean about fan stuff when I say this) so I have this idea for a thread where aspiring creative people of all kinds can post bits and pieces of non-muppet stuff they've done and get it critiqued. I thought this up because one thing I learned from the Muppets is is that creativity is one of the best ways to inspire people. I think that when the original Muppeteers have all passed, they will want us to have unique ideas of our own, and remember their creative legacy while at the same time creating our own.

I probably haven't explained this very well. I love fanfiction and fanart ( why would I have written my stuff otherwise?) I just think that the muppeteers (Jerry was a member of this site) like jerry, Jim, and Richard, would have liked to see what universes we could dream up. Sinct they are gone now, I think one of the best ways to pay homage to them is to share these visions with each other-you know?

Even if you are, like me, afraid that your non-fan story will get stolen by internet plagiarists, or just not all that comfortable with your creative ability, you can still come to offer your opinion or even post bits and pieces of your work! This thread is open to everyone! So go get your art supplies, writing paper, and whatever else it is that you use, if you think this is a good idea. We love you Jerry! *goes off to change signature to reflect Jerry's passing*

Perhaps this could just be a place to post non-Muppet links to your other creative work, if one chooses. There are a brazilian sites already where people display things...photo sites, art sites, fic sites, comedy sites. Sure, why not, links away!

Hogthrob: I am? Do I have to wear my Navy suit again for this?
Strangepork: Only if you vant to be trown overboard! hee hee hee!

(thought this should fit here…nowhere else to share it)

A poem I wrote in 20 minutes during English class:

Life is like a rainbow
It slowly comes and goes
It comes after a lightning storm
And ever since, it grows

Life is like a rainbow
It's bright and colorful
Not many people notice it
But it's still quite meaningful

Life is like a rainbow
It's mysterious, as I'm told
Somewhere is the land of Oz
And somewhere, a pot of gold

Life is like a rainbow
Let you're colors burst
Though life can be quite hard sometimes
Remember, it's never the worst

Oh. My. GLOB! That was amazing!

Yeah, it was. Profound, but it had a Suess-like rythm to it that made me smile.

Thank you!

And now, something I wrote while at the beach yesterday. You probably seen it in another thread.

Sitting at the beach, on a wooden plank. Lovers walking 'side a riverbank.
Waves breaking in, and ships passing by. Little stars twinkle in the sky.

Very nice poems Vincent. You're quite a wonderful poet.

Ever think of writing some Muppet poems and posting them in a Vincent's Muppet Poems thread in the fan fiction and art section?

A little something for The Creature Calamity Club. I really enjoy writing short little rhymes lately.

Sunny sky, clouds running 'round
Birds fly, no one around
Sun hanging high, my face, not a frown
A campfire nearby, cheerful light, joyful sound
