I know at one point they had a strict line between the Creature Shop and the Muppet Workshop - that started sometime after some of the early Creature Shop series in the UK like Mother Goose Stories. The feeling was that the CS was starting to tread on the Muppet's turf so someone decided that they should stick to creature stuff while the Muppets did the cuter, more "Muppety" puppets.

But now with the NY workshop supposedly shut down (or not depending on the report) and moved out to LA it would make sense if they've combined the two. I've seen a lot of press in the past year or so that identifies the Muppet Workshop as "Jim Henson's Creature Shop". I assumed it was just the media getting things mixed up, but now I start to wonder.

Hmm...
