Yeah, the "S" episode was great!

How 'bout the one that's a spoof of "Lord of the Rings," when the tapes are accidentally switched, and Butters watches an adult film instead? He becomes Gollum-like, and tries to retrieve the "precious" video from Cartman, Stan and Kyle, who are on a "quest" to return it to the video store.

I finally saw The Return of Chef! last night. I'd probably put it in my top 10 all-time favorite South Park episodes.

Series regular Isaac Hayes had notoriously left the show after the Scientology episode, leaving the fate of his character Chef, up in the air. But the SP guys wouldn't let the character (or Hayes) get off that easily. Using existing, pre-recorded audio clips Hayes had recorded over the years, Parker and Stone brought Chef back, and dubbed in some of the most ridiculous, disturbing lines through the magic of editing.

The ultimate demise of Chef is also pretty disturbing, but also quite funny and unexpected. It was like, he can't be dead, but Cartman's final line, and the immediate gag right after, proved me wrong. Later, Chef is brought back to "life," wearing a very familiar costume. Can you say Darth Chef? The episode ends with a parody of the "birth" of Darth Vader from Star Wars: Episode 3. Since a different actor voices Darth Chef, I wonder if the character will possibly return?

So... They haven't started Season 11 yet? Phew... *Breathes a sigh of relief.
Yeah WL, that was a good episode... All cause the boys wanted to acclamate the girls' paper-folder fortune teler for their own boy-driven militaristic might.

Another good Butters episode is the one where he gets adopted by Paris Hilton from Season 8.
There are other episodes I've got marked as faves... We can talk about those elsewheres though. Unless this thread gets run off-topic faster than someone killing Kenny.

The new season of South Park starts October 3.

The slumber party ep. is another one in my top 10.

Actually, I did a search for a thread solely on South Park, but I couldn't find one. And I had remembered this one from last month, but had forgotten it was meant to celebrate Butters. But I'm pretty sure he was in The Return of Chef! during the funeral scene. He had no lines, but he was there...

Mmm... That explains it... OK,then, with Gonzo14's permission, let's use this as our SP thread.

Fave episodes...
The Jennifer López episode.
The Paris Hilton episode.
The episode where Mr. Slave was introduced, along with Lemmywinks in the parody of the Hobbit animated movie.
Casa Bonita.
Kenny's Song.
The Christmas episode where Santa's taken hostage in Iraq.
Christmas Adventure in Canada/Oz.

Question though, who did they honor at the end of the episode where the boys are trying to send a whale into outer space on the Mexican space program's dime?

BTW: Kinda haven't watched any SP or Daily Show, or much Comedy Central anymore... Been spending time here, and at Planet Express, Cohog, and all the other stuff I just found on Boomerang.

"Casa Bonita" is another really funny one, especially at the end, when Cartman is chased.

My fave episode? Terrence and Philip were there, and Celine Dion... and their friend with the bag on his head. It's a really old one but even my mum thinks it's hilarious. Maybe it's the Christmas Special the Count mentioned?

Actually Mrs. P... If you're refering to the episode where Terrence and Phillip, one of them married to Selene Dione, set off to bring Saddam Hussain to justice, that's a completely different episode.
That was an April Fool's Day episode... Cleverly done BTW.
You know how Terrence and Phillip is a show that the boys used to watch in the earlier seasons, making us think that T&P was a cartoon show until we found out they were actual characters? Well, in this April Fool's episode the roles are reversed, with a scene where T&P are watching South Park as a cartoon show on their own TV airwaves.

Hope this helps... Will plan to tune in once the new episodes of this and Family Guy start airing.
