Does anybody remember a segment where :stick_out_tongue: Cuts up all of :frown: Hair?
I seen it once when I was little. How does it go again?I would like it if they would show it again on the new episodes one of these years!I think Bert feels fine since it grew back.Poor Bert! :frown: Ernie would never do that again! :stick_out_tongue: What year was that sketch anyway?

It was a very early skit. Bert was walking along a blank background scene and out of the blue, he sees Ernie with a barber shop set up. Ernie proceeds to give Bert a haircut and winds up cutting all of Bert's hair off. Bert says, "Ernie, I'm bald." Ernie says, "I wouldn't say that, Bert." Bert says, "You may not SAY it, but it's true! You cut off all my hair!" Ernie then gives him a book. Bert says that a book won't help his hair grow back. Ernie says, "No, but it'll give you something to do while you're waiting." There may have been a break somewhere in between, but brown Grover comes along and takes Bert away to help him get his hair back. When Bert comes back, he has all of his hair and Ernie is impressed with how fast the monsters were able to grow it back. Bert is silent while Ernie is remarking on the monsters' ability to bring his hair right back. He then asks Bert why he isn't saying anything. He tells Bert to say something. In a deep monster voice, Bert says, "Cookie!", implying that the monsters brought his hair back, but turned him into one of them in the process. I saw this skit rerun once in the 80's, but they only showed it up to the point where Ernie brings the book to Bert.

They probably thought the brown Grover was too dated or Bert with a monster's voice was too scary. Too bad. I would have loved to see the whole thing.
