You might be thinking of an Ernie & Bert skit from the 70s,that took place in their bedroom.Ernie couldn't sleep so Bert suggested he count sheep.So when Ernie begins counting sheep,we see white outlined animated sheep going by and going"baaah".Then Ernie becomes bored with counting sheep,so he decides to count fire engines instead.But the white outlined animated fire engines that go by make so much noise,that Bert is abrubtly awaken.So he tells Ernie that fire engines are too loud and will wake up the neighborhood.So Ernie decides to count something quieter like balloons.But when Bert goes back to sleep,Ernie appears to inhale his first white outlined balloon,until it gets too big and bursts.The next thing we know,the room is shaking violantly and Bert jumps out of bed and screams hysterically.Finally when the room stops shaking,Ernie says"that's one balloon"and Bert faints.

Is it when Ernie and Bert have 2 helium balloons, and Ernie worries about the balloons getting less beautiful so Ernie convinces Bert that they let the balloons free, the Ernie worries about the balloons getting lost and asks Bert if they can get the balloons back. This causes Bert to go bonkers and he takes his rage in the other room. Is that it?
