Did this episode not make the cut to HBO Max? All I can find is this "recreation" of clips put together with a b & w effect. If so I'm hopeful someone will upload it to YT 😉

Hate to break it to you, but episode 12 is one of the many lost episodes of Sesame Street.

A ton of episodes did not make the cut to HBO Max, not just the truly lost episodes.

It could have been a personal recording or something. That could explain the black and white TV effect.

Really not that many. Missing a little over 50 episodes out of thousands is really not anything to be upset over. Especially knowing that a lot of classic series from the golden age of television have episodes completely lost and/or destroyed.

Yeah, episode 12 isn’t even that special sounding to me other than it being the introduction for “Spinning Wheel.”

So this episode is considered lost among others, but is it still possible Sesame Workshop themselves have it? Or possibly in a TV station vault?

My only guess is the street scenes themselves probably still exist separately. The episode master itself (including segments) no longer exists.
