back before I learned Spanish, www.freetranslation.com was the one I used

This is gefinitely the best for quick and free. It isn't perfect, but it will give you a general idea at least.

For example, ¿Dónde está el baño? in English means "Where is the bathroom?", but when translated through freetranslations is simply "Where is the bath?" You at least get a general idea.
