I was jonesing on YouTube, and I found a clip of the Electric Mayhem backing up Dizzy Gilespie, and they appeared to have an extra member: a bongo drum player! Can anyone explain this?

As far as I know, that was his only appearance. He sort of looked a bit like Lips, though he didn'y have any visible hair, wore sunglasses, and was orange. Steve Whitmire's interview at Muppet Central says that Lips was created because he liked playing characters who played instruments, and Jim Henson decided to give Whitmire his own member, but I wonder if Jim Henson was trying to add a new Electric Mayhem member for Whitmire early in the fourth season, before creating a non-whatnot musician in the band. Of course, I don't know who performed the bongo player, but I have a feeling that Steve Whitmire performed him (or maybe he just performed the hands).
