is it just me, or are Sesame Street specials better when they aren't so "star-studded"?

I think it really depends on who the stars are. But in any case, the guest stars should ideally be secondary to the Muppets.

Well, hopefully "Elmo's Christmas Countdown" will be a bit better than "A Sesame Street Christmas Carol"- there were some things I liked about that- but some stuff I didn't care for either so...
I doubt this new special will replace "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" in my heart or even "Elmo Saves Christmas" or even "A Special Sesame Street Christmas" (which I don't think is all that bad)- and definitely not "Muppet Family Christmas"- but I'm willing to give it a try and see what happens.
I didn't think the star-studded "Elmopalooza" would be that great either- but I really enjoyed it, so maybe this one will be just as good. It's exciting to see new Sesame Street productions in any case.

I know i'll enjoy it no matter what. Now i understand i'm saying this now but please don't say "You said your going to like it no matter what." But if i don't like it (which i proubley will) But i can't wait to see something new with the Sesame Street characters.

This sounds awesome! It's always fun when they have Sesame Street in Primetime on one of the main channels. I like that Ben Stiller will be voicing a Muppet. Very cool.

I would just probably like the special more if it was called "Sesame Street's Christmas Countdown." Well, I will probably check it out and should know very quickly if I'll keep watching. I do honestly hope I'll enjoy it.

Though no matter what, I don't want to see The Sopranos. I'm actually very sad that they're being included.
