You heard it from the title, Elmo, Grover, and Cookie Monster all appeared in new footage of the Season 40 intro for Sesamstrasse, along with Ernie, Bert, Wolle, Pferd, and Finchen.
Check this out!

Sesamstrasse will be celebrating their 40th Anniversery in January of next year. The theme song has been redone in a groovy pop tune and is sung by Lena Meyer-Landrut (who has previously sung "Bert, oh Bert"). The setting will be also have a new look for Season 40 as well.
(Note the absence of Samson, Rumpel, and Lena in this intro.)

Because I'm not German, I can't wait to see new, full-length episodes of Sesamstrasse online.
