Historically, probably Lincoln, given how hard he fought for the Emancipation Proclamation, and in a sense a great humanitarian.

Modern, probably Obama. The only other Presidents I remember are Bush and Clinton: Bush was a bad President, and I was too young to really care about anything Clinton did.
