Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to download something from the free version of edonkeys?

Probably not too long with a wireless connection but I wouldnt download something from EDonkey ( or any other P2P application) It's illegal and they can track your IP, knock on your door and slap a lawsuit in your face.

It would probably depend on your computer, dial-up vs. high-speed internet, size of the file, etc. I would guess

Oh well, it was just a shot to see if I could screencap without having to use a friend's DVD-Rom.

Almost correct.
It's illegal to download copyright protected things that you don't have permsion to.
However theres many things that are legal to get, but many just use it for sharing copyright protected things.
