You can probrably check on muppet wiki, you can find that link on Toughpigs.
Yes,some of the modern day muppets were in those commercials, like Kermit,Rowlf, and Cookie Monster.I think Cookie started out in IBM commercials,Kermit was in bakery or bread commercials, and Rowlf was made for Purina Dog Chow commercials. The ones with Rowlf,I think were filmed in Canada.
There were commercials for this chinease food thing that had the first full-body muppet. It was a dragon played by Frank Oz. It was such hard work that Frank Oz said he would never do a full body muppet again.
The brand name of the food was La-Choy.The dragon's name was The La-Choy Dragon. They still sell that brand name, you can probrably find it at your local Wal-Mart.
If you guys will head to YouTube and do a search for "Wilkins Coffee" or "Jim Henson" you will turn up TONS of old Muppet commercials. (I hope I am not breaking some rule by posting this.) The Wilkins ones are great (and one of the puppets looks a little like Kermit) and the LaChoy one is there, too, and it's fantastic!
