Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
It's been a long time since they've played this entirely, but snippets have showed up in the following spots:
The 1994 Sesame 25th Anniversary special (only a few seconds)
The 1999 Noggin/TVLand special with Bob talking about Joe Raposo and his music
The 2001 A&E special, where Lisa Henson describes Kermit's evolution from a lizard-type character back in the Sam and Friends days, until Sesame Street, where they added the flipper feet and pointy collar, and he became the Kermit we know today
A dark swamp, y'know it's funny, you hear "Bein' Green" on CD's and cassette tapes, then you hear it on Sesame Street and think it's like a poorman's version.
Y'know, it's kind of like you could hardly see anything except for . All I can see are some hills with some trees, but what did most of these trees look like? Also in this early version of bein' green, was it taking place at daytime or nighttime?
You can't even tell, it's so dark. But there is there "golden" sort of look to it, so I'm assuming it's either a sunrise, or sunset, and knowing Kermit, it miht be a sunset. Personally, I preferred the 1976 version where he's in the field better. What did the scenary look like in "Frogs in the Glen".
Well, it was in Scottland. Kermit was sitting on a rock along with these AM frogs(including this fat-blue AM frog with big eyes playing a bagpipe)and there was some castle in the backround along with a few trees. But it was a little foggy in that area. And while I'm at it, in "This Frog" does anyone remember there was some green frog-like creature that made a quick appearence in Kermit's office?
Also, did anyone notice in the early Bein' Green song from 1969(though it was dark)next to on the right there was this gigantic tree? Kind of hard 2 C.
