E&B: Ernie locks Bert out (1983)

(1) Bert tries to practice going out, while he is locked out by Ernie. Bert is getting furious that he keeps ringing the bell over and over and over.

(2) In Ernie & Bert's apartment.

(3) Funny.

(4) The same ending music from "Kermit counts four eggs and chickens".

I remember that one. Bert's off to the store and he goes out. Then he needs to come back in because he forgot his money. This type of stuff happens to me all the time. I'm glad I don't live with Ernie. Lol.

Well told to let him in when he knocked. Bert asked Ernie if they should practice first, but Ernie didn't want to do that. So Bert went out. Then when he knocked Ernie figured that Bert was just practicing so he didn't let him in. It was a really good sketch.

There was another one where Ernie locked Bert out. Bert comes home and notices the door is locked. He knocks for Ernie to let him in. When Ernie doesn't answer, he's worried something happened to him. Ernie finally comes to the door and asks him to stay outside for a while. Bert wonders why Ernie would do this. At first he thinks Ernie is sad and calls for Ernie "Don't be sad". Ernie comes to the door and says he's not sad, and then shuts the door on Bert again. Then Bert thinks that Ernie has messed up the apartment and is getting mad. When Ernie finally lets him in, Bert is suprised that the apartment is still clean. Bert asks him why he kept him outside for so long, and all of the sudden, their friends pop up and yell "SURPRISE" because it's a surprise party for Bert.
