These are any Henson-related DVDs I'd love:

- The Muppet Movie, Great Muppet Caper, and Muppets Take Manhattan with better DVD releases than the ones already released

- Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island in WIDESCREEN format (the menus and special features are already great though)

- Every season of the Muppet Show in DVD box sets (can't wait for season one! )

- All of Dinosaurs

- Muppets Tonight!

- Jim Henson hour

and anything else Muppety I forgot :halo:

I would like it if henson and disney (and possibly hit entertainment, if nessessary) would make a special deal to release every episode of the jim henson hour, uncut and in their original one-hour forms, with show promos (there was a really good one with jim henson talking about the show, which was shown during a commercial break during sesame street: 20.. and still counting) and talk show interviews regarding the show (there was atoday show interview on the day of the shows broadcast).

otherwise, I would be happy if disney released the following:

the jim henson hour: the complete muppetelevision (2-disc set)
disc 1:
first four muppetelevision episodes (science fiction, aquatic life, monster telethon and the ratings game)
muppet morsels
commentary on: the ratings game and monster telethon
concept art
interview with jerry juhl
deleted/ alterd scenes and outtakes
bonus special: miss piggys hollywood
original pilot: innertube

disc 2:
final four muppetelevision episodes (garbage, health and fitness, musicians, and food)
muppet morsels
audio commentary on: musicians
bonus special: the secrets of the muppets
easter egg: dog city pre-show
character bios
deleted/ altered scenes and outtakes

the DVD cover would be the picture of jim henson standing next to a tv with kermit and some of the new characters, seen in jim henson: the works. if it was possible for a deal to be made to have all of the shows in their original one-hour orms, then it should include all of the features listed for the muppetelevision set and the other features i mentioned above, and it would be a four-disc set, with 4-5 episodes per disc.

here is what I would want on a four-disc set of muppets tonight, featuring the entire series:
all episodes in broadcast order
muppet morsels on every episode
audio commentary either on every episode, or on the following episodes: michelle phieffer, garth brooks, cindy crawford, jason alexander, heather locklear, the artist formerly known as prince, the cameo show and johnny fiama leaves home.
u.k. spots on each episode.
and here is what I want on each disc (besides what was mentioned):

disc 1: animated menus hosted by kermit the frog
interview with brian henson
interview with clifford
show promos and TGIf bumpers

disc 2: animated menus hosted by clifford
interview with gonzo and rizzo.
trivia game
series artwork

disc 3: animated menus hosted by seymour and pepe
interviews with andy and randy, seymour and pepe, and johnny fiama and sal
new featurette: "the new muppets of muppets tonight"

disc 4: animated menus hosted by johnny fiama and sal
interview with bill barretta
disney channel promos
performer profiles
deleted scenes
series production notes

From Gelfing Waldo:
"Parts of "The Jim Henson Hour" are coming to DVD (or already are on DVD), but sadly with the ownership split full intact-episodes are not likely ever."

What parts are comming to DVD?? what parts already are?

This is complete news to me.
All episodes of The Storyteller, including the ones from The Jim Henson Hour, already are availible on DVD. The Dog City episode (minus the opening, the pre-show sequence, and possibly Jim Hensons closing if there was one) is availible on DVD in the united Kingdom (but not the United States  ). I don't know if there are plans for anything else from The Jim Henson Hour to be released.

the muppets take manhattan

Finally (for now), here is my list of features for a two-disc special edition of The muppets take manhattan. Since Sony owns the distribution rights, they would probably need to make a deal with Disney for some of the following features.

Both Discs:
Commentary by Frank oz
Muppet Morsels
alternate languages/ subtitles (I forgot to include this in my list of features for the other DVD wishlists)

Disc 1:
Widescreen version
original theatrical trailer
music video: "I'm Gonna Always Love You"
interview with frank oz (possibly hosted by either miss piggy or fozzie bear... with eric jacopson performing his characters, frank oz can interact with his own characters)
all-new mocumentary: the making of manhattan Melodies
all-new featurette: the wedding of the century!
interviews with Jim Henson

Disc 2:
Fullframe version
deleted scenes
all-new featurette: how the rats cooked dinner
all-new mockumentary: The Muppets New Jobs
talent biographies
