An early press release stated "Collectible Packaging - With A Fun, Furry Touch". See here; http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3506 I assumed this meant it would be "fuzzy" to the touch, like "flocked" packaging or something. The DVD I bought was just glossy cardboard.

Did anyone get "Collectible Packaging - With A Fun, Furry Touch"?

Is this something they decided not to do (ie, too expensive)?

Or, did I just missunderstand the press release?

Check out this post: http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=21141'

Only the innitial printing of the set was fuzzy - as originally planned and announced. The plan was for the first release of the season one set to be the collector's packaging (which was fuzzy). Due to the high volume needed to meet the demand the subsequent printings of the set were just plain cardboard (just like originally planed). Depending on where and when you get the set you may get a box with fuzz or just a plain one. I don't know for sure how many fuzzy copies exist (but it is a fairly large portion of the sets in circulation).

P.S. My copy is fuzzy.

Haven't got my set from amazon yet, and I'm hoping for later today! I'm also hoping it's the furry packaging.

I'm also hopeing that...

:attitude: : How dare they advertise such scan-delous reprots?
 : Sam, at least it means one thing, the sets are selling. You'll get your pay-check.
:attitude: : What lovely un-furry box sets...
