Good news!

I had a meeting last week with John Kovalic, creator of the Dork Tower comic series (also creator of the game "Apples to Apples") about rendering his cast of gamer characters as puppets.

Yes.. and there is money involved. Not a ton, but enough to make it worth the gig. I'll be making two of each character. Groovy.

Neato. Just because he wanted puppet versions or is it for a web thing?

He's been playing with ways of bringing DT to a broader audience. He started with some flash animations of the characters, but wasn't totally satisfied with the results. And he'd mention the idea of puppets in conjunction with the project and people would just freak out (in a good way).

So he's looking at having us do videos synching to his existing voice tracks (from the animations) to do a test reel for showing around.

His agent in LA is the same guy who handles Jeff Dunham... evidently the agent thought it was a good idea too.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. It'll help me keep the doors to my studio open a while longer!

And that means I'll be able to keep producing Transylvania Television!
