Good point Jamie, I definitely see what you mean.

I actually don't dislike Jar-Jar because at least he wakes you up in an other wise boring movie. Like I have stated, that just needed a human character... An everyday, average guy to relate to the audience amongst all the craziness...
Tell me about it.. the exciting stuff doesn't even come until more than halfway through the second one. There was way too much plot exposition in those films... Of course, the Pod race took too dang much time up in the first one.

I'm wondering what Lucas could have against the corny special.
You're talking about a film director who thinks that Jar Jar is an amazing character, that he wanted all these random changes to the first three films when CGI was perfected, and the like... so you gotta admit... if he thinks that's the embarrassment to the franchise, something's terribly wrong.

Wasn't there also a Star Wars Christmas album? I saw it years ago, but never bought it.

Oh wow! The Pod race was the longest, useless scene in the entire movie. My brother had the Pod Racing video game and that was pretty fun to play however.
