I have been trying to remember which muppet movie has a part where they are in a hotel and there is something to do with the wizard of oz going on with the "real people" I seem to remember little people as characters. My friends think I have lost it b/c no one remembers but I know it wasn't a dream! It is not the Wizard of Oz muppets has to be earlier than that b/c remember watching it in early 80's.

Your question really belongs in the Classic Muppets forum.
The only Muppet hotel part I can think of is in The Great Muppet Caper in the Happiness Hotel

Muppets Go To the Movies, a special from the early 80's with Dudley Moore and Lilly Tomlin? One scene features a Wizard of Oz number with Piggy as Dorothy, Scooter as Scarecrow (yeah!!!), Gonzo as the Tin Man, and Fozzy as the Cowardly Lion.

If you saw it in the early 80's, then it might be the Brooke Shields episode of TMS where the cast sing "We're Off to See the Wizard".
