I'd like to see some female figures being made. Which one would you like to be made and why?

There are a few problems with Getting female figurers.

1. Not many female charcters.

2. Female figures usually sell less.

3. Those female characters that do exist haven't been used in years or aren't recognizable.

4. In some cases characters look like others. Annie Sue looks a little too much like Piggy. So, might as well just do another Piggy instead.

I would like to see more Piggy and more Janice. Vaca Janice, GMC Piggy, etc.

Hmmm

Hmmm... I gotta say that recognizability doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot to the group at Palisades. I had to totally look up Dr Phil Van Neuter cause I had a totally different muppet in mind. I had never seen this guy before I saw his prototype.
And female figures, at least among collectors, sell like MAD nowadays! Look at Janice for pete's sake! Of course Piggy didn't sell that well but then, she's Miss Piggy, one of hte least liked Muppets of all time. Aty least among my contacts. I personally find her all right...
I would rather see different characters being made, such as Annie Sue. There are certainly enough female characters out there to choose from. Personally I LOVE Uncle Deadly, but nobody in my area has a clue who he is, but I can't wait to be owning this fig.
So bring on the obscure female figs Ken!!! We NEED the lady frog scoutmaster!!! Bring on... Some of the others!!! Yeah, I have no idea who else could be made, but I sure will await them with baited breath.

It seems that the biggest problem is that there aren't many female muppets. The only ones I can name off hand (excluding Fraggles and Sesame Street and so forth) are Piggy and Janice. And Camilla, but she's a chicken.

Look at Muppet Babies, they had Piggy and Skeeter (who, to my knowledge, and I COULD be wrong has never appeared outside of the Muppet Babies so Palisades can't make her).

Well...

Of COURSE you want Wanda first Wayne!!! HAHAHA... Thanks for helping me out with a list of possibles. See there's TONS of extra Muppet ladies!!! Just look at the dance hall scenes, where every muppet had a female partner!!! There aren't as many as there are males, but there's like, 1/3 ratio or something!!!
I'm sure the marketing has something to do with it. I don't fully retract my statement earlier, but there it is.

Most at the dance women were what not muppets. No name, no character. The ratio of female characters that could be figures is far less than 1:3.

That, and many are just generic monsters and stuff with wigs and high voices.

So by that logic...

So by that logic, Uncle Deadly shouldn't be a figure cause he had only like, two appearances EVER. THe At the Dance chicks were on like, every week for at least a few seasons. Each one of them. SO yeah, pardon me for thinking they would make good characters to have for figs. And if you include characters that were on EVERY show for a few seasons, then yes, I believe the 1:3 ratio is pretty accurate. But that's just me.
Of course I don;t mean to step on any Muppet Guru toes or anything...
I have to say that its good news that certain people here treat everyone the same, so nobody feels like they are given preferential treatment or anything. :boo:
