Okay...Disney's owning a bit TOO much. Shouldn't there be laws against this??

With Pixar, Disney is kinda related to Apple…

Except he's not owning the company, he's owning stock in the company. Disney hasn't bought Apple, the CEO bought stock in the company after selling stock in his. That worries me on the level that it shows some lack of faith in Disney, considering this is the guy who runs it (and has, frankly, done a pretty good job).

I must stress this is not about acquiring a new business to put under Disney but rather buying stock in another company for the sake of owning stock. The fact he sold just as much of his own to pay for it is bothersome, but no changes will be made one way or another, as Iger also sat on the board of Apple to begin with. It's nothing more than stock trading that amounts to Iger being a stock holder. A major stock holder with some say on the company, but a stockholder no less.

I think everyone got the story wrong.

Disney just bought a share in Apple, just like anyone (with a lot of money) would. Becuase they know Apple sales are going up, they want more money too.

Drtooth said it well enough.
