I swear he hardly looked like Cookie Monster! He was in a skit, where a bunny named Howie introduced "THE" Cookie Monster reciting a poem he wrote about cookies. It must of been 1969, because this Cookie was DIFFERENT. He had a bigger head, and his lips would keep on jiggling. And there were also some brown spots on his fur (looked like from aging and not regular spots).

Yeah, this clip is from early 1970. He looked like that throughout the season. For some reason, helooked a little green to me in that skit. BTW, PWMS is Play with Me Sesame.

It's nice to know that the older material is getting at least SOME airtime.

Yeah, PWMS is great for fans of old clips. They show old stuff on there regularly.

The audio of that sketch was released on the "C Is For Cookie" LP in 1974. I had no idea what was up with those BOINGs until I saw that sketch. :smile:

There should be a Cookie Monster "smiley" in this forum.
