Did Oscar ever cross the line?

The meanest I think Oscar ever got was in the Christmas special where he hurls a million insults at Big Bird just as a train comes roaring by, and you can't hear anything he actually says, but you know it can't be very nice.
("You are the dumbest...RUMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEEEE]...bird I ever met! [slam!])

I've been trying to translate that dialogue for years. Lol. Anyway, it does seem like Oscar has softened up a little in recent years, examples being him reading "Trash Gordon" and the recent episode where he got the Rottondle, but of course they still keep his grouchy side. I mean, deep down he has a heart of gold, but of course he never wants anybody to know that so his grouchiness is a bit excessive at times. After all, he did seem extra grouchy in "The Street We Live On."
