Diamond Select's Lips and Lew Zealand went up for pre-order this morning. They're available at the dst website or online retailers, like entertainmentearth.com or bigbadtoystore.com. They're supposed to be available January 2026. I guess that depends on how the bankruptcy auction that's currently happening goes.

To be honest, I'm not in a huge rush to preorder this when we are STILL waiting on Uncle Deadly and Pepe.

I get the company isn't doing so well, but iys hard to get excited for a new release when we've been waiting years for product.

DST, along with several other Diamond Comic companies, was just purchased by Alliance Entertainment in Diamond's bankruptcy auction. I think this means the solicited figures will actually get made, plus hopefully more. I think the line definitely needs some steady releases to build back up some momentum. Hopefully, this means Deadly and Pepe will ship sometime in the next few months.

Oh man, I have like no hope for any momentum haha. I feel if the line were to have any resurgence it would have to be variants of the main cast, such as Christmas Carol.

The sale of Diamond Comics Distributors to Alliance Entertainment fell through, and Diamond was sold to two other companies. Notably, Diamond Select Toys was sold to Ad Populum.
Ad Populum is the parent company of NECA, which is currently making the Sesame Street action figures.

I wonder if this could lead to The Muppet license moving to NECA, hopefully after the product that has been revealed is released, and we end up with larger scale Muppet figures to gonwith the Sesame line.

Maybe not necessarily "larger" Muppets figures as so much as versions of figures DST released that could now be made to be in-scale with Palisades figures like Bean Bunny, Foo-Foo, and Mahna Mahna. Will just have to wait for future Mupdates.

If this purchase goes through (fingers crossed!), I wonder how the Disney license will work. I don't think it was included in the Alliance purchase. Maybe it will need to be renegotiated. Having DST continue their Muppets line, including the figures already solicited, plus NECA making updated Muppet figures in the Palisades scale would be absolutely amazing! I really hope more Muppet figures get made this year, although I'm not sure what the tariff stupidity means for any new figures.

I really want the DST line to continue for at least a while more, but I'd buy NECA Muppet figures, too. In addition to the five new characters DST has already solicited, I'd love for them to make the Newsman, Link Hogthrob, Dr Strangepork, Beauregard, Pops, Bobo, and Walter. If NECA makes more Palisades-scale Muppets, I'd love for them to make updates for Kermit, Piggy, and Bunsen, plus Sal, Bobo, Louis Kazagger, Nigel, and Walter.

Unfortunately, the sale went through and DST has been gutted. All of the employees have been terminated. It's unfortunate, especially during these times of uncertainty in the industry.

No official word that I am aware of regarding product that was supposed to still come out. Sweetuns and Uncle Deadly and Pepe have had their dates pushed again, this time to Q4 2025. I suppose this is better than being canceled outright.
