I look at those old gameshows and the prizes they give away, like Sketchers. They do make you nostalgic. Especially since they used to be the bomb, but now they aren't really that cool. They need more kid game shows, or at least show the old ones. That's why I'm rooting for a TV Land for old Nick shows. Like Double Dare, and Salute Your Shorts. Oooooo.......Wild and Crazy Kids. THAT would be cool as heck.

on our digital cable, they've got a channel called NickGas that runs all the old game shows and whatnot.. (Gas stands for "Games and Sports")... Double Dare comes on about 5 times a day! (though it's usually Family Double Dare) .. there's also another channel called Nick2, but I haven't seen much old stuff there :frown:

I know, but that's not the thing I'm talking about. Like Mr. Wizard, and Salute Your Shorts.

They might do that eventually, once the generation gets older and more profitable. Like how right now Nick at Nite is still stuck on the '80s.

Nick at Nite is stuck on Roseanne and the Fresh Prince. Sorry, I'm a little annoyed with Nick at Nite. I too would love to see Mr. Wizard or Salute Your Shorts or You Can't Do That on Television. We have Pete and Pete on DVD, at least the first season which is pretty cool.

I love how Dave's thread has become a discussion of old Nick shows.

Yeah, Nick at Nite used to be a little more ambitious in its programming. I mean, did that many people lose interest? Upsetting if so!

Am I the only one who misses Patty Duke, Car 54, Where are You? and Donna Reed?

We run, we jump, we swim and play
We row and go on trips
But the thing that lasts forever
Are our dear friendships
Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts
and when we think about you
it makes me want to fart!

It's "I hope we never part"... Now get it right or pay the price!

Now we will share a lifetime of the fondest memories
by the Lake of Anawanna, set in the old pine trees
Camp Anawanna we hold you in our hearts
but when we think about you... this thing it came apart!
Think Ana-wanna-wanna!
Speak Ana-wanna-wanna!
Live Ana-wanna-wanna! Ugh!

well, people probably lost some interest just because of TV Land's existence :smirk:
