Seeing what's going on with some other members on the forums I feel kind of lame for even posting this. I guess it was just hard finally having a gf after 26 years, and then it ending so abruptly, along with other stuff. thanks for the kind words, and that is definately an exquisite poem/song.

oh, heh...I misread that! Im so sorry...I thought ya meant you were looking for a gf...thats why I said if it can happen to me it can happen to you. Yeah, I got into dating a little late in the game.

Anyways, sounds like some people need a mop(reference to Valentines special, 1984..."I loves my mop"-George the janitor)

It seems to me like a lot of people find a truly significant "significant other" just when they decide to stop looking, slow down, and enjoy all the other aspects of their lives. I've seen it happen to lots of people, including myself. I don't know, there seems to be something about being relaxed and at peace with wherever you stand in life that makes finding someone easier. Kind of like how you find your keys right when you finally stop looking for them and get a new key made, only much more romantic.

Well I don't go out that much so thats probably the main problem. Maybe I'll meet someone when I go overseas soon.

I think the main reason why I've been so scarce these past few months is because life hasn't exactly been easy for me either.
Beginning in May,my grandmother was visiting my aunt,and wound up getting ill out there . She passed away on May 26 About a week before that,one of my cats whom I was very devoted to died from a combination of old age & liver trouble.
In July my father wound up having heart surgery. He's doing OK,but needs more surgery in the near future.
It made me wonder why all this was happening & wasn't enough enough?
