Here's a sketch I enjoyed seeing several times in the early 70's. I think David was the one (and only one) in this one. He kept opening a door (or a small size door like a trap door) to see what was behind it. Each time he saw it was simply another door, he looked at the viewer with an astonished expression. The sound effect that accompanied it was neat. It was a sound to indicate bewilderment. Hard to describe the sound by typing, but my best attempt would be that it sounded like this: Buh WEE uh wah!
This sound effect was used in other clips too. He ends up opening about five doors. I can't recall what was finally behind the last door. Whatever it was, he was happy. My best recollection is that it was a radio and he turned on some music.
Does this one ring a bell with anyone? Rather obscure and I never heard anyone ever mention this, yet I know they did replay it from time to time in the early to mid 70's.
