Does anyone remember this classic Sesame Street skit I think was from the late 70's?

David received a call from Maria who said she wanted a sandwich delivered to her apartment. But there was heavy rain out and David didn't have his umbrella with him and didn't want to go out there. He saw a lavender anything Muppet postman, who sounded like Jerry Nelson, about to leave the store and had and idea. He asked the postman to deliver the sandwich to Maria since letter carriers can deliver through any kind of weather. But the postman said he couldn't deliver the sandwich unless it was wrapped in a box with a stamp and address on it. So David put the sandwich in a box and pasted a stamp and Maria's address and said, "Now you can take it to Maria." But the postman said he had to take it to the post office first so they can approve it and Maria should get her sandwich the next day or two.

Later, David made another sandwich, wrapped it up with plastic, and was going to try something else. He covered himself with a cloth and went out in the rain and called out to Maria who opened her window. He told her to catch and threw the sandwich to her and she caught it. So Maria finally got her sandwich and was happy and David was happy that he got the delivery done.

Thank you for remembering this one, Cullen! Yes, David went through all the trouble of packing the sandwich and applying the proper postage, only to be told it would take two days to deliver ( a distance of twenty feet, tops).

He tried to take the sandwich back from the mailman, only to be read his rights. "TAMPERING WITH THE MAIL IS A FEDERAL OFFENCE!!!"

Good call on this one!
