Dark Crystal Refrence in "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy"

There was a very brief refrence to The Dark Crystal in the kids show "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" which airs on Cartoon Network.

Billy rumages through Grim's magic chest, and finds several items that refrence 80's films, one of which is The Dark Crystal, which he chucks out of the chest.

I find it intresting that they'd put that in a kid's show seeing as how most kids haven't seen TDC.

Yes, the shard. He takes it out of a tresure chest and chucks it, dismissing it as a 'Dark Crystal'.

Do you know which episode it was, or what the plot was about?

I wish I could remember the episode title.

The plot: Grim tells Billy not to go into his Magical Chest in the basement; since Billy is the stupid character, he goes down anyway and takes out an egg. He thinks it's a duck egg, and so he hatches it: it's a giant spider named 'Jeff'. Billy tries to get rid of it, even though all it wants to do is make him happy.

I remeber that episode! And you know, I didnt even make the connection with the dark crystal until I read this post, lol
