I wanted Mario to win...but I knew Emmitt would.

I bet Cheryl gets paired with the Jerry Springer type next season.

My mom told me that in STAR Magazine, they asked Jennifer Aniston to be in the 4th Season of DANCING. She says that she is considering it and that she is a big fan of the show!

Alert!: 'dancing' Rematch!

I just added this on the DANCING WITH THE STARS Wikipedia page:

(from GLOBE Magazine [December 18th, 2006])
After a huge public outcry that the outcome of Dancing with the Stars' third season was "fixed," GLOBE has learned that secret talks are underway for a rematch between winners Emmitt Smith and professional partner Cheryl Burke and the runner-ups Mario Lopez and his partner Karina Smirnoff! But viewers will likely have to wait until April to see it, sources tell GLOBE. TV honchos are working on getting Super Bowl star Smith, 37, and former Saved by the Bell hunk Lopez, 33, back on the dance floor to kick off the next season of the blockbuster ABC show. "It's an ambitious idea and it won't be easy to achieve, but the ratings a rematch would pull in are a real incentive to make it work," says an insider. After Season Three ended on November 15th, furious fans deluged ABC and Internet message boards, protesting the final result. In an exclusive report in GLOBE's December 4 issue, they claimed:
  • Former football star Smith was picked to win by the network in advance.
  • Viewers could not get through by phone to vote.
  • Phone lines shut down earlier than the announced deadlines.
Many fans felt that Latin heartthrob Lopez who, as GLOBE reported, has proposed to his partner, Smirnoff, 28, was the true champion - and they demanded a dance-off! "Mario was by far the best dancer. Something doesn't add up," blasted one. "Mario was robbed!" charged another. "It's clear it was rigged from the start," added yet another disappointed fan. "Let's do it again and vote for the Best Dancer, not the Most Popular." That's when execs started considering pitting the two top pairs against each other one more time, say sources. The big question is: When? Do they secretly tape the rematch now, put the video in a safe and hold it for the new season? Or do they have the dancers back live? "A lot depends on the celebrities and their schedules, I think," says an insider. Season Four won't air until atleast April because some of the professional dance partners are currently involved in the Dancing with the Stars Tour, which does not end until February. "They need at least six weeks of rehearsal and practice with new celebrity partners - which pushes the debut of the new season back to possibly May," explains an industry insider. In September 2005, there was a rematch between Season ONe winner Kelly Monaco with John O'Hurley and their partners after fans protested the final results. The face-off was decided solely on viewers' votes - and O'Hurley won by a slim one-percent margin. This time, after all of the recent complaints that fans couldn't record their votes, an Emmitt-Mario rematch might be decided by a new, totally different panel of judges, says an insider. "That way they can lay to rest allegations that the three show judges - Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli - let favoritism rule their decisions," says the source. The network was at first against a rematch, says insiders. "They want the final results to stand, popular or not," says the source. "They on't want to resort to a dance-off every season. "But the outrage has been so incredible that I think there's no alternative but to have the couples go head to head again if they can work out the details. "It would certainly be a blockbuster show and draw even more than the 27 million fans who watched the recent finale." ~

Dancing with the Stars: Season 4

Finally after the amazing ratings and chaos of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars: Season 3", season 4 will premiere on Monday, March 19th, 2007. The show returns with a two-hour premiere! This time, viewers get two weeks of dance performances before sending a star home in the first results show (premiering March 27 at 9/8c).

Football superstar Emmitt Smith became the new "Dancing With the Stars" champ after his big season three win. But which stars are putting on their "Dancing" shoes for season four? Access Hollywood takes a look at some of the possibilities.
Maybe "DWTS" needs a little royalty to spice things up.
"Actually I think they should ask me to be on and teach me to tango," Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson told Access.
The Duchess' tango would certainly add a royal touch to season four. And don't be surprised if former teenage witch-turned-mom Melissa Joan Hart magically appears.
"They have asked me the last two times but I was pregnant," she said. "But I want to do it!"
Or perhaps the dance floor needs some morning show flavor.
"They're looking for people for the next season. Would you do it?" Access Hollywood's Tim Vincent asked Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin.
"Absolutely," Reege said. "I insist on it!"
"You know we wouldn't be able to dance with each other," Kelly reminded him. "They would separate us."
"I know. And it's a big mistake on their part," Regis replied.
And with Star Jones off "The View," she may have more time for the Paso Doble. Star's pal Vivica A. Fox sure likes the idea.
"Star, you can do it! You guys haven't seen Star on the dance floor," Vivica told Access. "Mama can boogie!"
"You know what? You have lost your mind," Star joked with Fox.
The TV spot could however go to Leeza Gibbons, who was at several of the "DWTS" tapings last season.
Also spotted in the crowd last season was "The Young and the Restless" soap stud Joshua Morrow, who could easily fill the guy candy vacancy, as could "The Bold and The Beautiful's" Lorenzo Lamas.
And odds are good that slugger Jose Canseco (who has admitted he's been offered the sports star spot) could be swinging his hips this spring.
Meanwhile, TV journalist Tucker Carlson joked about his possible replacements.
"Dan Rather. Andy Rooney. I'm thinking of people who would make me look good," he laughed.
And Access Hollywood's Tony Potts did his best to convince Mario Lopez's "Saved By The Bell" pal Elizabeth Berkley to take advantage of her Stacy Keibler-esque gams.
"Look, she has the legs. She could be on season four," Tony joked with Elizabeth.
"We'll see," she said.
"You've got my first vote. How's that?" Tony said.
"Ok, thank you," Elizabeth smiled. "You never know."
Stepping in to Drew Lachey's vacated boy-band spot from season three could be former *NSYNCer Joey Fatone.
Joey has reportedly confirmed he will appear on next year's show, although ABC won't confirm or deny his participation.
As for two-time "Dancing" champ Cheryl Burke, she's got her own dream partner in mind.
"I would love George Clooney to come on the show," she revealed. "I know that won't happen, but I would love to dance with him."
"Dancing With the Stars" season four is scheduled to debut in March on ABC.
