Hehe, I have that same Cookie Monster. He was sold along with Ultraman/Kaiju monster figures:smile:
Really?

Would you believe that just yesterday I impulse-purchased Ultraman on DVD when I found it at Target for $5? I had fond but vague memories of watching it as a kid, and wanted to revisit it.

How was Cookie Monster incorporated into that?

Heh, Ultraman's made by the Japanese Jim Henson, Eiji Tsuburaya, same guy who made Godzilla. It's highly enjoyable. Cookie Monster how ever, while being a monster, never appeared on Ultraman.

My buddy John came over the other day and showed me a pedestal he had built for a Dr. Who diorama, and as soon as I saw it, I thought, "Adventure Kermit needs something like that for his Gonzo fertility idol accessory!"

I kludged this together last night in about an hour and a half. The Sculpey is built over two plastic items which I rescued from the bin: the lid of a deodorant can, and the stick-and-base of an orange sherbet push-up.

I was consulting a Hallmark Indiana Jones ornament for the 'Chachapoyan' patterns, but in a flash of inspiration, I took out Jim Henson's Designs and Doodles sketchbook and used Jim's own borders to one of his pitch proposals for the upper and lower bands.

Around the middle I did various Muppet eyes. Some like Yorick and Bert are more recognizable, while others are based on generic Jim doodles from the book. I even threw in a Hidden Mickey to fill space.

The one thing I didn't like was, compared to the electroplated Fertility idol in that Hallmark ornament, this Gonzo version seems so dark and dull. I digitally tweaked him for a v2 of the photo:

But now I really want to look into having a spare Gonzo-idol plated. Hmmm.

You know how several Muppet figures from Palisades came with record album accessories?

So, I thought I might print this little image out, from the curtain call of the John Cleese episode:
http://threads.rebelscum.com/imagepopup.php?imagename=http:%2F%2Fthreads.rebelscum.com%2Fphotogallery%2Fwatermark.php?file=156956&imagewidth=178&imageheight=177

This is actually a couple of framecaps painted together into one image to remove John Cleese's fingers (and their shadows) from the edges.

But, what would I use for the BACK cover of this nonesuch album?

I did a little googling for some iconic 70's images of John Cleese, and cobbled together this montage:

I know it looks pretty sloppy, but bear in mind it will only be printed about the size of a postage stamp. In fact, I posted it to the forums at Rebelscum, where they include a thumbnail image on the links, and it looked great in the tiny size.

I got some custom fodder Muppets in the mail via eBay, and one of them was an Invisibility Spray Fozzie... so I wondered what he would look like being TOTALLY invisible, like before his trip to the little bear's room:

It didn't require anything more than some paint-stripper and an old toothbrush. Very easy, very satisfying.
