Hi ho,

I can't upload pics at the moment due to some computer problems, but I've used the time offline to complete several new customs, including:

Kermit the Pig
"Pearlie" Fozzie [from the UK skit "Wotcher (Knocked 'Em in the Old Kent Road)"]
proto-Strangepork (brown hair and purple tux, from season one)
blown-up M.A.M.M.A.
Steppin' Out Scooter
generic female pig Swinetrek crewmember

And I've finally begun work on my Veterinarian's Hospital trio and accompanying O.R. diorama.

Sounds awesome. Looking forward to seeing Steppin' Out Scooter the most

Here's a group shot of most of my Muppet Show customs:

Steppin' Out Scooter can be seen at the far left of this shot.

He can also be seen in this group shot. The Kermit the Pig is still a work in progress. The generic female Swinetrek crew member is just a background character, though I chose the button eyes and red hair as a nod to Lydia pig.

Closer shot on the 'Pearlie' Fozzie figure. Yes, the hat is magnetic, just like a Palisades figure. I made it from Scuper-Sculpey.

Getting the pattern of 'pearl buttons' correct was almost mind-numbingly precise painting. Each one is a single touch of the brush, using a pearlescent white paint. Notice the F on the back of the vest, just like in the show, and the spider-web pattern at the crown of the hat.

Side view shows how the horizontal lines on the back of the vest become the diagonal pattern on the front. He's just blue-screened onto a modified frame of the show, I haven't yet printed that one out as a backdrop.

I made an alternate head for my Dearth Nadir figure yesterday, as well as finally constructing his 'Crypto-Anagon Transmitter' accessory.

The Gonzo head can also be put on a Series Two Gonzo body, since I dislike that head sculpt. This is a glimpse of a diorama work-in-progress, of Gonzo defusing the bomb from the Dudley Moore episode. The egg-shaped container originally held some Easter candy, I believe, and will eventually become the egg-shaped bomb/rocket from the episode. If you look closely at the bottom of the egg, inside it is the little screwdriver (from Hobby Lobby) which Gonzo will be using to try to defuse the explosive.

Another set of customs currently in progress... Veterinarian's Hospital! Their set will be constructed simultaneously, but you can glimpse the vinyl dollhouse pieces I'm going to use for the floor and walls, as well as the gurney, which is an old X-Files toy, that will be covered in green cloth.

More to come!

More diorama shots...

http://threads.rebelscum.com/imagep...hp?file=119281&imagewidth=652&imageheight=489
The Muppet Stage. This brick wall has been a lengthy work in progress, but I am finally happy with it. The mortar is black like it's supposed to be, and the No Smoking sign was stencilled from a frame grab in the Petula Clark episode.

Gonzo hanging from a feather boa by his nose. Can't recall the episode offhand.

A nice psychedelic backdrop for the Electric Mayhem, from some tie-dyed felt purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Just a blue-screened composite here, from the Vincent Price episode.

Similar shot to showcase Uncle Deadly.

Not a blue-screen, and not a flat backdrop. This planetoid from the Koozebanian Phoob episode is a three-dimensional set piece which I made by hand. I used half of a styrofoam ball, some spackle, the cap of a saline bottle for one volcano, and paint. It took a lot of man hours, but I was very pleased with the end result. The hanging planets come from a solar system mobile purchased at Toys R Us.

Dude, you do some really fantastic work! I wish I had the time to work on customs, especially those Pig extras you made! The purple tux Pig is my favorite. Would also really love to make a plain-clothes Link.

Cheers!
