Copyright on Typewriter Guy

I'm about to start a small typing business and I'd love to use Typewriter Guy as my logo - he was the one who first got me interested in typing after all!
I don't want to infringe any copyright laws. Does anyone know who I could ask permission from?

Sesame Workshop would be the people to ask.

But considering this is a start up company, the use of a copyright would cost money... and I don't think you'd be able to afford what SW would charge to use the character.... and that's if they are willing to let you use him in the first place.

Now, best thing I can suggest is to create something that looks roughly similar enough, but not too similar that it would infringe on the copyright.
