Okay, so maybe I WAS wrong, but I get all your points that you all made out. At the case of the "heck, what they hey, etc" words, most teachers are not appreciated at kids using those words nowadays. Most of the time they'll be sent out of the room, or put in the corner. So that's why I made that approach. :big_grin:

Teachers that do that are simply nuts. If the kids is being defiant, then fine; but if it's just a kid saying "what the hey" then that's just crazy.

Jeez, in MY elementary school, teachers didn't care much if the students said "dam*", much less "heck" or "hey"...I guess their theory was to take the power away from the words by not expressly forbidding them. Good idea, I say. My parents felt the same way.
