Cookie Monster and Oscar The Grouch

I do know they all sang a song (including Bert) "pidgeons, Cookies, and Trash"

The problem with the 2 characters in question is that they don't really meld well. Cookie Monster is a character on the search for cookies, and Oscar's a grump who pops out of his can to complain about things, and comment on things. They can't really meld together as well as Oscar and Telly, or Cookie and Prairie....

There's also an audio skit of Oscar and Cookie with Herbert Birdsfoot. Herb reads "The Monster's Three Wishes" and Cookie plays the part of the Monster and Oscar plays the genie. I know Oscar chuckled at the notion that the genie couldn't grant the monster his cookie wish because all his three wishes got used up.

But again, not really a scene where Oscar and Cookie's characters could bounce off one another, and in any case, they were just reading parts. Was kind of cool to hear Herbert at the beginning.

Herbert: Oh, hello, Oscar!
Oscar: (groan) Yeah, hi!!!

Other than that, Oscar and Cookie don';t really go... there's nothing you can really do with both characters. There's no chemistry, plus... what would Oscar and Cookie do? There's nothing comical about them together, unless Oscar offers Cookie an anchovie and banana cookie... just can't think of anything that works with those 2 characters.

(There was a similar skit with Oscar and Herry Monster where Herry started angrily shaking Oscar's can because he wouldn't return something of Herry's that he borrowed).

Speaking of Oscar and Herry, they also weren't really together much. But I do remember a skit from season 18, (1986-1987) when Herry Held up a Big Barbell and Oscar was counting to 20, and he did it very very slow, making Herry Monster very tired and exhausted.

Agree w/ u Drtooth! Stop it. Its going to be ok. Elmo is part of the show and thats it. If u don't like Elmo then don't watch any of the new epsiodes or any old ones from the 90's. I might not like him so but I can put up w/ him and u can't. So stop and quit it!
