Cookie eats Bert's Bacon and Ernie's X

Hello! I got that classic skit you were talking about in your early Cookie Monster thread, which was on #8 from Gbrobeck. It was where the unnamed Cookie Monster ate Bert's bacon and Ernie's very own 'X', and this four-part sketch goes like this:

Part One:

Ernie: (while studying to draw X's) Wow, I've done a good job drawing those X's. By the way, X was the last letter in the word 'box' and was also the first letter in the word 'x-ray'. I'd just keep studying...(Bert rushes in)

Bert: Hey, Ernie, Ernie! It's awful! Just awful! When I was cooking breakfast in the kitchen, something happened to me! I saw a huge monster eating all of our bacon! Every strip we made!

Ernie: Gee, that's terrible, Bert! How come we're just going to get rid of this filthy beast so we can cook more of our bacon...(When Ernie says this, Cookie Monster pops up to eat Ernie's X) Hey, what are you doing, monster? You ate my very own X! UH! Listen, why did you eat all of our bacon and why did you eat my very own X?

Cookie Monster: I always like to eat bacon and 'X'! (Ending music plays, he just grunts a lot and leaves)

Ernie: Stupid monster. He doesn't even know that eggs start with the letter 'E'!

Part Two:
Ernie has to erase off the X's he drew.

Part Three:
Cookie has done a lot of grunting as Ernie says, "What are you doing here, you filthy beast?!" But Cookie still does his grunting, so Ernie lets him watch the very early cartoon with the little boy's counting poem again.

Part Four:
Ernie decides to erase Cookie, so Ernie uses his eraser to erase him going "Uh-oh! Buh-bye!" and Ernie said, "Hey, it worked! Keeheeheeheehee!"

We loved that entire sketch as well, nothing beats the vintage stuff !

growing up i only remember seeing just Ernie erasing the x's off the black board and and the cartoon and cookie monster. never did i see that 1st part. i wonder why? also i wonder if any kids got the idea of trying to erase somebody. perhaps a kid is watching this skit with a younger sibling and has an eraser in his hand and tries to erase him or her and the younger ones begins to scream and runs and the older one chases him or her with the eraser. just imagine that and i bet it did happen with some kids.
