Today I saw an episode of the new season of Sesame Street and saw Cookie Monster. I was wondering if anyone knew if that was Frank Oz doing the voice of Cookie. Also, in a bert and Ernie skit I saw when the monsters were dancing while bert tried to read, I'm also wondring if that was Frank.

If you know, please answer
thanks.

Let's see how we can help out a fellow forum member. As far as other people have said, Frank Oz did provide Bert's voice for the Monster Tango sketch in the Season 34 priemere. Other thant that, they've said that he has recorded voices for his regular characters for the upcoming season. However, we're basically stuck playing a guessing game as to when the character's voices are provided by Frank Oz for all of them or just Eric Jacobson and David Rudman for some of them. Hope this helps.

For season 34, Frank taped two days' worth of Bert and Ernie. If it's a new B&E sketch, Frank is a safe bet.

The Letter of the Day segments were taped for season 33 with Frank as Cookie. Except where Grover appears. Then David plays Cookie for those shots and Frank plays Grover.

All new Street appearances by Cookie, Bert and Grover are David and Eric respectively. Global Grover and most new standalone Grover appearances (singing with Kofi Annan etc) are Eric.
