Not really the kind of connection your talking about, but my dad has the same birthday as Frank Oz if that matters...:embarrassed:

I recognise the name...did she do some Yoda work on one of the recent films? There's also a Helena Smee who is a puppeteer in the UK, maybe a relation.
She did indeed. And she is the sister.

Very interesting. A close friend works quite regularly for Helena and Marcus' company, Hands Up Puppets.

Again...small world.

Hey, wow! Hands up Puppets is where she used to work, (Sister, and brother-in-law), and now I think she is freelance. She did Yoda in Star Wars 2, she did Vogon's in Hitchiker, she's done Mopatop stuff (I think...) and she performed singing watermelon Muppets with the scisor(sp?) sisters in the UK.

And of couriosity...what is the name of your friend?

Geoff Felix. He did Softies recently with Hands Up, as well as Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Take Away with Marcus C.

Out of curiosity, was she the Vogon at the Release Desk? "I'm sorry. For a presidential release, you need a BLUE form!"
