confused about the little red book

Does anyone know the significance of the book she reads from in Labyrinth? I haven't read the book of the film so I'm curious- is it her story or an existing fairytale?

As far as I know, there is no official answer. But the story that Sarah read is fictional. But what the little red book actually is...that's what fanfiction is made for.

yeah thats what i was thinking.... it might just contain parts of the script but if its an actual book then that could be cool. Anyone know whats on the cover? Might be a clue.
