I had no idea comedy was so depth like...
Oh yeah I think comedy is actually much more difficult to write or perform than drama for instance. They just make it look very easy and enjoyable.

Yes, comedy is very difficult. Writers have to figure out how to best write the joke, then the performer has to execute it properly. I've found that the idea in comedy is not to think too much about it. The more you let your senses give you the perfect joke, the better off you'll be.

Really, those little "How to write comedy" how-to things and books aren't really any good. I don't think you can really learn how to write comedy, you can only develop your sense of humor. I mean, I've read some, and they're like:"Try to use words that have the letter K sound in them; it makes it funnier. For example, this car joke was used in a movie. The joke is funny because the writer used the car name Buick. If they'd used any other car brand, it wouldn't have been funny." Well, I'm sorry Mr. Howto, but I happen to think that Buick sounds weird and that Honda is the funniest car name. So there. The less you think about jokes, the better they are.

As evidenced by the old saw, "Abcess make the fart go Honda!"

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

Lol, yeah. I mean I can understand where the "K rule" came from but that doesn't mean it's always going to fit every situation. And the more you try to explain a joke, the less funny it gets, lol.

I vote for comedy. Though both are pretty slim with me. I have atleast liked comedy during my teens and can still do at times. As for Horror, it's very rarely.

Comedy. But I like dark comedies like Beetlejuice, and Gremlins. Also as you can tell by my avatar I don't hate the Addams Family at all. In fact I love it even though they're not really dark.

[vote to comedy]
I'm not afraid of horror movies, I'm afraid of the nightmares that come after it.
