You may be thinking of the Jim Henson Hour. There was a band on the show(I forget the name) and Clifford was in the band. I don't recall what instrument he played.

Ask and ye shall receive.

1 Clifford was indeed in a band on the show The Jim Henson Hour. The name of the band was "The Solid Foam", and Clifford was their main singer. However, he played either a base guitar or often switched with Beard and played main guitar.
2 Clifford appeared as part of the Electric Mayhem in the TV special, The Muppets at Walt Disney World. There, the band went on what they thought of as a world tour through the World Showcase portion of EPCOT Center. And in that musical number I've been told that Clifford played the glockenspiel.
3 However, wanting my action figure of Clifford to fit in with the rest of the band, my brother painted an extra base guitar from an extra Floyd Pepper figure to look like the one Clifford used in JHH.
And the band now looks even better, what with Clifford on second base guitar and Animal banging away at the giant shoulder drum from Animal 2.
Hope this helps and have a good day.

At MV3D, as you leave there are several muppety posters including one of Clifford with the Electric Mayhem. I think he should become an official member, but I've a feeling I'm alone in thinking that!!

:flirt: :halo:

Cliford was made for JHH. He always had sunglasses on when he was on JHH, after JHH they where removed, that is the only change that have been made with him.

Can't remember if I got a picture of him with sunglasses, if i find one I will post it here for you

Edit: Don't have any pictures of him in my own picture archive, but you can see him here http://toughpigs.com/anthhensona05.htm

As mentioned, he looked the same except for the sunglasses. And he seemed much more laid back on the JHH than he was on MT. He didn't seem to get excitable as easily.
