I have always wondered who's idea it was to have Clifford host Muppets Tonight?

I love Clifford. He's one of my all-time favorite Muppets. Ever. Definitely my favorite Kevin Clash character. He really, really needs to be in more and more Muppet stuff, IMO. He's great. More Clifford! Woot!

Wouldn't that be weird to see.

*Clifford makes his way around Sesame Street, looking around at the new surroundings. Big Bird, Gordon, and Bob come up to greet the new arrivial.

Clifford: Man, this place looks a bit sqaure for my tastes.
Bob: Hello, can we help you.

*Clifford looks at the two humans and Big Bird*

Clifford: Woah man, that's one big yellow canary.
Big Bird: But I'm a big yellow bird, not a canary.
Gordon: Big Bird, a canary is a bird.
Big Bird: Oh, well then I guess I'm a big yellow canary after all. Who would have thought.
Clifford: The name's Clifford. Kermit sent me down here to stay with you guys for a little while.

*Some time later, Bob is showing Clifford around and both make their way to Oscar's trash can*

Bob: And this here is where Oscar lives.
Clifford: You mean to tell me a hotdog lives in this thing?
Bob: No, Oscar is a grouch.

*Bob taps on Oscar's can*

Bob: Come on out Oscar.

*Oscar comes out of his home, displeased at being interrupted*

Oscar: How many times do I have to tell you goody goodies, scram!
Clifford: Man, you're even more crankier than Miss Piggy. You're not related to her are you?
Oscar: No, and go away whoever you are!

*Oscar's lid slams shut*

Clifford: Talk about a real people person. The man needs to get out more. I'll put him on the top of my list of trying to make people cooler.
Bob: Is this how you're going to be for the rest of your time here?
Clifford: Pretty much.
Bob: I think I'm going to have to have a talk with Kermit about who he sends down here.

*Then the rest of the series has Clifford turning everyone on Sesame Street to hip and cool and teaching all the youngsters watching the show to be cool also!*

Oh this is so great i just love this really good , you really have a talent for writing great , wonderful .

I liked him when he was his jim henson hour self before they turned him int Arsenio Hall. I am trying to be nice here lol it's a bit hard.
Have you seen Clifford's Appearence on Arsenio Hall? He totally steamrollered over Arsenio with his rather personal comments on relationships, and discussion of their various merits.

I haven't seen JHH Clifford, but I liked what I saw on Muppet's Tonight. He'll never be Kermit, as a host, but he carved a pretty good path of his own.

I mentioned on the clip that Kevin wrote in his book the this was the last time he saw and worked with Jim. I think n the same week it was the last time the Steve ever saw Jim, too. But someone responded back to me that that were even more happy that they found the clip. But at that moment I really started getting terry eyed. I... I just couldn't hold them back you know. it really does make the moment so much more special after the fact. And the fact that this was Jim's last public appearance, too.

Yeah, Clifford's pretty awesome. I guess I consider him one of the Muppet characters that I "grew up" with.

He was on that old Sing-A-Long tape "It's Not Easy Bein' Green" and had his shades and everything.

His action figure is awesome too!
