Back on topic, here's another one of those bizarre Etienne Delessert cartoons from either 1973 or 1974 that hasn't been found in English yet. I'm guessing it's a reimagining of the fable with the moral "Don't count your chickens before they've hatched."

I wonder if this is partly where the Simpsons writers got the idea for those Bolivian Tree Lizards that Bart hatched in a bird's nest?
