Chip and Dip appreciation thread

I love these two! Granted, I don't really remember much about what they did on the show, but I wanted to see if anybody else likes Chip and Dip. Also, are there any pics of them out there on the net?

I can't stand to see an appreciation thread go dry! Chip and Dip were two cats, played by Richard and Kevin.

Assuming Chip and Dip are the two cats I'm thinking of, I'd say that they weren't necessarily my favorite characters on Sesame Street- but they were just a part of Sesame Street like everyone else. I pretty much just accept it like that and that's it. I can't think of too many memorable appearances, but I remember they used to show up a lot when I was watching as a kid in the late 80s. They can be seen in the "Sing, Hoot and Howl" home video.

I LOVE those two! Just looking at them cracks me up. They are such irresistably mangy-looking spazzes. (They look like something Cookie Monster chewed up and spat out. ) And once they open their mouths, forget it.

I always thought it was weird that they play at Birdland. I mean, they're cats. Surrounded by their natural prey. They must be avowed vegetarians, though it's hard to imagine them avowing much of anything. "MEOW-meow-meow-MEOWWWWW-meow."

"Meh-meh-MEH-meh-MEOWWW!"

LOL.
