Okay, I need some opinions on this from people who understand these kinds of dilemas.

I am on a very, very limited budget.

Between the two, which is the better buy? The Swedish Chef & Kitchen or Animal, the Tour varient or with the EM stage?

The Kitchen is pricey but looks so good. And I love the Chef. But I also love Animal and I would like to the complete the whole band and no band is complete without a drummer. Look at Keith Moon and The Who.

Any thoughts? Somebody think for me, darn it! j/j

Animal and the stage has been out longer and is likely to leave the stores quicker than the Chef's Kitchen, which hasn't even shipped yet.

I'd say ANimal and hte Stage.

I say go for Animal, for the same reason above. Animal won't be around much longer, perhaps you'll find money for Chef later.

I, my friend, have just come up with a class-A idea for YOU!

Yes!

YOU! All you have to do is fake your birthday with several folks who KINDA know you, and then tell them that you want these for your birthday (do it for Animal now, and then again in May for the Chef, which hits shelves near end of April I think).

Yup, I'm a slick one!!

that would be an impossible choice. But chef has not shipped yet. And will be at least 1 - 2 more months.

Hopefully it will be enough time to get both. I would not be able to choose.

If your main priority is completing the band and you're on a limited budget i'd say Tour Animal - you don't specifically need the playset (and you didn't say) so that would be cheaper at $15.

Swedish Kitchen is fantastic though, and don't expect it to sit on shelves for months.

I agree with Luke. If you want to complete the band, the cheapest way to do it is Tour Animal.

As far as playsets go, the Kitchen has the most play value. The EM stage is great for setting up a display with the band, but the kitchen comes with all that stuff! If you go with Tour Animal, maybe you'll be able to raise the money for the kitchen when it hits stores....

Yeah, I think the best way to go about it would be to get Tour Animal, I'm not really interested in the EM stage.

I'm trying weighing the pros and cons of the two.

Tour Animal- Assuming I rely on the kindness of strangers, I can get someone to get one for me at $15.00 plus having it mailed to me. That would probably put me at about twenty bucks. Which makes me wonder if I should just buy the playset and trade or sell the stage.

Chef- Since the only place left in my town that even carries the playsets is EB I would probably have to pay about $28-34. I could get it at various other online places for about as much with S & H.

Oh, and Fozzie, I tried the bilking friends and family for presents route but they pretty much flat out refused to spend money on 'toys'. They do not share or understand the mania.:frown:

Thanks for the advice guys

I don't think you'll get much for selling the stage without the figure. It's kind of a package deal since there's no carded Animal (until Tour Animal comes out as an exclusive).

The Swedish Chef's kitchen is the best set so far. I'd invest in that one and get the more rare Tour Animal later. I wish you could get both sets, but the kitchen has so much stuff in it. Also, Tour Animal might be a slightly improved paint and sculpt (I am not certain about that).

Looks like you've made up your mind. I do know that the Chef set will be incredible!
