Cheep Thrills Album

i was home today and can't rememeber the song i heard but the album this SS song was off of was called Cheap Thrills. now for those who listen to Classic Rock might know there was an album released by Janis Joplin in 1968 titled that witch included piece of My Hart and her version of Summertime. i don't know how the CTW would of gotten away with using an album name that was previously used. i know you former YL memebrers probably recall i asked the question before but have since forgotten the answer.

It really wasn't clear what your question was... but if it helps Janis Joplin's album was "Cheap Thrills" whereas the Sesame one is called "Cheep Thrills".

even though the spelling if different it just seems odd for SS to choose a name for an album that was already used. that's all i meant.

It doesn't seem odd to me. The Muppets and Sesame Street have been doing album parodies since the beginning. Also remember that in 1993 the original "Sesame Road" album was released (Sony changed the track listing and rereleased it in 1995). So it doesn't really seem odd that "Cheep Thrills" was released a year later in 1994.

That's just my opinion though and you are welcome to yours as well. No big deal.
