mayhem

Yes I do think that sometimes an age limit just doesn't work...but I'm not influenced by him in the least! I think they should make the option available for people who really want to see the Electric Mayhem again...possibly as a special edition DVD or something? I wish there was a way to make this available to everyone without advertising it, but sadly there really isn't...If the cameo doesn't reveal anything about the guy...then how are kids going to know about his bad side? And if people are influenced by him already then that's not The Muppets' fault...I just want to see The Mayhem...they've been starving us of them for years!!! John...is the cameo revealing at all (about his lifestyle)?:frown:

I am still hoping that they will sell an uncut version of the special during the show. NBC, along with oither networks, has done that several times before (Jack and the Beanstalk, Alice In Wonderland and the Third Kingdom movie). If this comes out on DVD at all, it will anwser the question of why the scene was cut once and for all.

Clifford isnt a 'new' Muppet, He has been around since 1989 in The Jim Henson Hour.
I have always dis-like this saying, yes it's 100% if not 200% Ture, heck i'll say 300% But don't ask me to go any higher;-)

To us Muppet fan's we know who clifford is and have know him for over ten years, and you want to know what, NOT all muppet fan's have known this as new fans maybe finding out right now. But hardly ANYONE know's this. they may have seen him before but don't really remember him, they could have seen MFS and thought who the heck it that? Not everyone know's who pepe is either and are just finding out who he is this year..

it's like Joe the Armadillo, a few years old from the Animal show, but not many people know the "Animal show or know of it as a henson show, some people don't even know Labrinth is a Henson movie, how would anyone remember a small armadillo that was on a hidden show once? Not one person knew that Joe the Armaillo would be used on the KSY dvd back then. and i don't know what's next for Joe, maybe nothing and it was a one time thing, maybe he will join the muppet cast? who knows?

I think if this new muppet show gets made they shouldn't litter it with new characters like they did with MT, some muppets worked great other's make you sick. we still have the Moe Frackle mistery a muppet just used on Family Fued? i hope to see more of him in the new show, ad Joe the armadillo and there are your new characters, not that a new muppet can pop up for one show, but Pepe,Jonny,Sal, Bobo and i'll even inculd Clifford are new muppets.

these charcters need more light, some more then other's as clifford MT was a bad idea, but craming new new muppets with Classic muppets and TM muppets will be to crowed. one or two id fine but like i said i hope one of them is Moe Frackle.

Enough Snoop Stuff

what about those who don't care if snoop is in the movie? so we get to miss out on probably some beautiful footage of the mayhem ?
Though I'd hate to debate again, I still think that it's an industry Double standard. Anything that is 5-10% sparks an old, squeamish lady writing campagn, while the really offensive stuff is never even touched. They won't let Powdered Toatman crumple up the Bill of Rights , or Stimpy say "fart" on the Ren and Stimpy Show, but they let stuff like WIldest police chases, Jerry Springer, and so forth on during the day. What's good for the goose is not good for the gander, apparently. Some conservative minds scratched down angry notes for a Snoop Dog appearance (in which he doesn't even say the mildest of Swear words), while they show stuff I can't even talk about on during the same timeslot as Sesame Street, ONE CHANNEL AWAY FROM IT!!!!

I personally dislike Snoop Dogg, but they have had guest on the Muppet Show and Sesame Street that turned my stomach (N*SYNC for one...blecch), but it's not like he did anything to deserve the cut.

wish i could help you there, but i can't. i did not see the cameo, only heard what it was and all i heard was as kermit walks by he says something in his incomprehensible rap lingo (that's so popular with the youg people) and everyone just looks at him and zoot says, "that's the first thing i've understood in 25 years." or so i was told.

I wrote sleude instead of slew, which is embarrassing enough. Slew meaning a host of (characters) and sleude meaning... um, I'm not sure. I could have sworn that it meant slender. Alas, there is no "sleude" in the dictionary. How is it spelled?
I think it means the same thing as sontorroce. Look that up in the dictionary if you don't know what it means
