Nobody said that purpose of that thread was to avoid talking about politics like this one.

No, but after the deletion of the other thread I thought we all had agreed not to talk about politics again.

Agreed. And if we do talk politics can it at least be contained to the one thread? Why take the chance of ruining other threads? Or respecting those posters in the other threads who want to avoid politics?

I don't remember anybody ever agreeing to that. I remember people saying it might be best to avoid talking about politics, or at the very least, keep political discussions to a minimum at best, but I don't remember we all shaking hands and vowing to never discuss politics ever again. I haven't been keeping track, but I'm pretty sure what I said recently in the What Made You Roll Your Eyes thread is just about the only politically-charged thing I've posted since the deletion of the other thread.
