I'll start with two:

ME! Claudius. (Too obvious)

and in "Sing After Me"... they let him slip from character briefly.

Otherwise he would've had to sing:
"Sing what Elmo sings, sing after Elmo! Be Elmo's echo if you can be, sing dye, dye, dye..." LOL

One time in the 80's he sang this cute song about spending time by himself, "Closer To Me". :flirt:

He sings a song on an audio tape I have called "Happy Tapping with Elmo"

In a pageant about foods from the 80s, before he does his lines, he tells Mr. Light (the person working the spotlight) to "follow me."

And also, in the song "My Name" with Maya Angelou, he sings "my name" instead of "Elmo's name."

That's an early Elmo where Kevin sounds like he's choking when he does the voice. I don't think he had the character down yet.

Not to mention that Elmo in ME! Claudius sounded nothing like the current Elmo (deep, gruff voice).

Most likely Richard Hunt's Elmo.

But it's still Elmo saying me, though before Kevin Clash took over and established a character.

Well, every time he said "Sesa-me Street", he must have said "me".

As mentioned in another thread "We Are All Monsters" was made before Elmo had his current character, and some old versions of it don't use Elmo's name at all; in newer videos and in the show it's been modified to include Elmo's name.
